MetaCognition Partners Presents:
The June 2013 Executive Functions Series
“Even though I have important things to do, I can’t get started.”
“I know I am capable of doing better work.”
“I let little things pile up until they become big problems.”
“I have good ideas but don’t put them into action.”
These are comments we have heard from many people who are struggling to manage the ever-increasing demands of life at school, work, and home. They often doubt if they have what it takes to be successful as responsibilities and expectations mount.
Neuroscience has identified a group of key mental processes called Executive Functions. These are the skills that allow us to organize our behavior and override immediate distractions in favor of long-term goals.
Simply put: these skills are crucial for getting things done so we can reach our goals! Additionally, it has been established that with appropriate training and support, it is possible to develop these critical functions at any age.
Change is possible!
Utilizing proven research, our program will include an assessment identifying your particular areas of weakness and strength. You will learn skills and strategies to put into action right away. This knowledge will empower and motivate you to overcome obstacles that have plagued you for too long.
- Understand the “why” behind your struggles
- Experience the satisfaction of proactively managing your life
- Engage your real potential
